ACE STUDIOS
BALLET
Ballet is the foundation of all dance disciplines. Classes develop a correct posture, stamina and sound basic technique. The Academy follows both RAD (grades & vocational) & ISTD (vocational) syllabus. Classes are offered from Pre-school (2 ½ years) – Advanced.
MODERN & TAP
Tap is a great way to keep fit, learn about rhythm & music. The ISTD syllabus is followed in both Modern & Tap. Classes cover various routines enabling pupils to develop a wide repertoire of combinations. Classes are offered from Pre Primary (4 years) – Advanced
MUSICAL THEATRE
Classes are a combination of acting through song and dance as a foundation to Musical Theatre. Through these classes all aspects of Dance, Singing & Drama are brought together. Students are encouraged to perform both as a group & individually. Tutors work at the pace of each individual, being psychologically aware of each student’s abilities, developing self-esteem.
DANCE ACRO
Acro Dance helps strengthen and loosen the body, enabling pupils to develop acrobatic moves for use within performances. Dance Acro is not gymnastics, there is an emphasis on movements and tricks being seamlessly integrated within dance sequences and routines.
CONTEMPORARY
/LYRICAL
Classes encompass a variety of styles and aim to develop expression, energy and control. Emphasis is placed on floor work, technique, strength, posture, flexibility and muscle memory.
JAZZ
Classes include jazz/commercial dance work as seen in the industry. Emphasis is placed on learning lots of combinations whilst having fun. For the advanced class importance is placed on retaining and picking up routines at speed.
